I am a PhD student in the Joint NC State and UNC Biomedical Engineering Department researching under Dr. Ashley Brown in the Advanced Wound Healing Lab. My current research focuses on developing fibrin specific nanogels to deliver antithrombotic factors to treat disseminated intravascular coagulation. In 2021, I graduated from NC State and UNC in Biomedical and Health Sciences Engineering. During undergrad, I conducted research at NC State’s College of Veterinary Medicine in a comparative gastroenterology lab where I focused on advancing in vitro models of the small intestine to better understand gut repair mechanisms following injury. When I am not in the lab, I like to do yoga and play soccer!
