I am a Postdoctoral Research Scholar in the Brown Lab in the BME department at North Carolina State University. I received my BS Biomedical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2013 and my PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2022 under Eric Brey. Previously I have also been a postdoc at New York University. I also have experience in the biomedical manufacturing industry at Zimmer Biomet where I worked as a process validation engineer, and Bluegrass Vascular Technologies.
My research has been focused primarily on drug delivery systems for the enhancement of tissue regeneration. My thesis, titled “Magnetic Nanoparticle Drug Delivery System For Promotion Of Vascularization In Tissue Regeneration” was focused on translating a controllable drug delivery platform which had only been used in vitro into an in vivo application and assessing its capabilities with advanced imaging techniques. I also have a strong background in imaging, animal studies, and cell culture.
Outside of the lab, I enjoy gaming, travel, and cooking.
